wood and double flare

Discuss all things ear stretching

Hi everybody
I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with wooden double flair jewelry. Recently I bought some and wasn't expecting them to be harder to put in than flat flair, but I was very wrong haha. Does anybody know how to do this? I've tried to use minimal oils, because I'm concerned too much may hurt the wood. Thanks!

I have heard of people sanding down a wooden flare that was too much. You could try a little 600 grit sandpaper? It may be that you need to wait longer. I have heard the wood described as "grabby"
