Dam plugs stink that's all i gotta say!... I clean mine everyday to avoid smelling any ear gauge funk. I have also noticed that wood plugs hardly ever have a stench..at least that's how it was for me.

Definitely every day. I like my size 2's now since I can just stick a wet q-tip through them a few times, kinda fun :]

For some reason my ears don't stink...but I do get the gunk... I don't clean my plugs everyday cause i'm bad at remembering...but when I'm bored I definately sit there in class and wipe off the gunk. I've noticed with wood plugs there is like no gunk at all but I think that is because wood is very absorbant and can reduce the appearance of oils and dead skin on your plugs when you take them out

Every morning in the shower just with water as I'm washing my hair, and then a proper lobe clean and Vitamin E massage before I go to bed.

Apparently Holey Butt'r is good to prevent any smell, and someone told me lemon, tea tree and something else are good too. They gave me a little recipe, I'll try and find it :)
Current:
1.6mm Tongue
1.6mm Navel
10mm Lobies (Goal: 1/2")

You're very welcome sweetheart :)

This is the little recipe I was given:

Add Tea Tree to the bicarb and mix it in so the powder absorbs the oil then add hot water. If your plugs get particularly dirty you can also add lemon juice.

The bicarb is an odour neutraliser and also fizzes so lots of bubbles to clean deeply. Tea tree is antibacterial, anti fungal so general beneficial to avoiding smells and build ups of bacteria too, lemon juice strips grease from things so good at getting rid of sweat etc
